LJSC Hosts Leadership Panel and Cultural Booth

More than 50 students joined the Latino and Jewish Student Coalition (LJSC) for a Leadership Discussion Panel this past Wed. Nov. 16 led by prominent leaders from both communities who expressed the need to build a strong coalition on campus and on the national level. Speakers included Rep. Joaquin Castro, Anna Popp from the American Jewish Committee and Manuel Rendon from LULAC. The night began with a delicious catered reception and mariachis. The day before, the LJSC hosted a cultural booth outside the FAC. Churros, empanadas and falafel were served as students asked coalition members about their trip to Israel and the future of the organization.
